Lighting control is a series of switches and dimmers that are linked to a central control panel. This control panel allows options to automatically control lighting based on time, brightness of day, home theater setting, security alerts, the door bell, the front/garage door opening, or many other different items. The control panel may also be linked with room/house controllers which allow multiple light switches to be adjusted at the push of a button.
House controls usually incorporate multi-button keypads to create a different lighting scene in either a single room or the entire house. At a push of a button you can change the atmosphere of your entire house to, “Evening”, “Party”, “Morning”, “All on”, “All off”, or any other setting you prefer can be programmed to the keypad.
Room controls would give the same options but for a smaller area like a home theater, kitchen, living room, or master bedroom. As part of creating atmosphere in a room, such as control of fireplaces, curtains, climate control, and much more, controllers and control are the key to convience.
